Before you call for sewing repairs or alterations

Any pants that are hemmed using a sewing machine.

Any pants that require a blind hem finish (hand finished).

Take in or let out waistband by 1” either way only. 

Take in/ Let out legs of pants to make them narrow or wider.

Replace zipper - all zipper replacements are done using new zippers, colour matched to previous zipper.

Not every broken zipper needs replacement. If the bottom molded tab is gone or broken or if teeth are missing, then you need a full zipper replacement. Each zipper must be carefully removed and we ask that you don’t do this for us. Each coat especially winter coats are all made differently and costs vary based on number of layers around zipper, length of zipper and stuffing, Down filled jackets require extra care. please ask for a quote before before service begins. 

Raise or lower cuffs. 

Take in or let out jacket sides. With lining add $10.00.

Hem suit jackets without lining $30.00 with lining add $10.00. ( please note this is often all hand sewing)

Winter Coats require a quote before work begins.

Basic hem with no lining, machine sewn. 

Skirts with lining that are machine sewn. Flaps and vents add $5.00 each. Price varies depending on circumference of skirt.

Hem a lined skirt by hand. Vents add $5.00 each. Price varies depending on circumference of skirt.

Take in or let out side seams. 

Basic zipper replacement. Over 7”  requires a quote.

We replace zippers. patch and hem workwear. We ask that items be removed from pockets and it’s free of heavy dirt/debris before service.

Zippers start at $35.00 and up. Patches start at $5.00 each and up. We do our best to match colours and use heavy thread and equipment on these items for maximum strength.
